Our presenter
Yolanda Wang is a Registered Dietitian, and an American College of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer. As a UBC alumnus with a Dietetics Major and Kinesiology Minor, she is passionate about working with clients to develop a healthy and satisfying lifestyle. She has been working on the research side at the Brain Wellness Program under the supervision of Dr. Silke Cresswell, providing nutrition education and cooking together with research participants. Before joining the BC Brain Wellness team, she worked as a dietitian in acute care, gestational diabetes clinics, and long-term care facilities, and as a personal trainer in community recreation center. Leading to her career as a dietitian, she has also worked as a dietary aide for hospital and a food coordinator for charitable school program. Her previous experience educated her on the importance of food and nutrition at different life stages, with different health and socioeconomic status. She strives to make nutritious food more accessible and equip people with the skills to choose and prepare the food that nourish their body and mind!
