Suicide Awareness and Prevention
This 1.5 hour virtual workshop will increase participants awareness of suicide and equip them with information and skills to identify and respond to someone considering suicide. Topics covered include myths and common attitudes about suicide, risk factors and vulnerable populations, warning signs, empathic response and intervention steps and community resources. This is an introductory workshop and is therefore recommended for those without formal mental health training who seek to better understand suicide and how to respond to it.
